Title: Recorded live - Buccaneering Rabbits.. and another nun joke
Date added: 07/08/2008    Running time: 38:15m

Content:
This week’s podcast is different from any that has gone before. Believe it or not, it was recorded in front of a real live studio audience.. of one. Well it’s a small studio! There’s another nun joke sent in by a listener to follow the success of last weeks fun extravaganza. If it’s not as good as the nun on a bike gag, don’t blame me. On the other hand I’m happy to take the plaudits if it’s a rib tickler. This weeks ‘must read’ article is Buccaneering Rabbits and takes it’s inspiration from the seminal children’s classic book, ‘Watership Down’. The subject that comes under the spotlight is those dark days that we all endure and for some, the dark continues and manifests into illness. If you think this is a gloom and doom podcast well you’ll be massively wide of the mark. Contained within the mirth, merriment, daft banter and badly timed comedy is a message of enduring hope and how the story of a rabbit provided a guiding light out of prolonged darkness. Hey I’d even go so far as saying it’s this week’s dose of serious info-tainment. Recorded in front of a live studio audience... called Kev.

Title: The Universe Whispers & A nun on a bike
Date added: 01/08/2008    Running time: 46:07m

Content:
Back from the ether, the abyss of damnation that is found in the bad sectors of a hard drive, this week’s podcast saved itself, writing to the good sectors and is there, in its own inimitable glory. Having ‘bigged’ it up so much what can you expect to find in this week’s audio extravaganza of 46 minutes and some seconds? First, Geoff Thompson gets grilled and given the opportunity to explain the rhyme and reason behind this week’s ‘must read’ article –The Universe Whispers. There’s a chance to get to hear the world’s funniest nun on a bike joke. Remember it’s not a sin to laugh only if you take pleasure in it. There’s talk of freebies, books, pro-dogs (as opposed to amateur ones) and Gus gets revisited. I know it doesn’t make that much sense but what I can promise in this week’s mish mash of verbose indulgent daftness are some peals of profound wisdom, oh yes, it is, ‘Serious Info-Tainment’ delivered for free, direct into your mail box. Enjoy!

Date added: 12/07/2008    Running time: 40:50m

The Milky Way is a full stop. It’s true. The Milky Way, our galaxy, the place that our planet Earth calls home, is but the size of a full stop (in comparison to the known universe) in a book, at a library with shelves as high as five ceilings and as long as a football pitch.... This is the starting point of this this weeks must read article which then comes under the spot light for discussion in this weeks podcast. Now that excites me. It really excites me.

Title: Who is Alan Titchmarsh?
Date added: 21/06/2008    Running time: 29:40m

Content:
Alan Titchmarsh? Alan Titchmarsh? He’s a gardener isn’t he? What inspirational advise or guidance does he proffer to the non gardener and why is Geoff Thompson’s latest ‘Must Read’ article named after his… name? This week’s podcast answers this question and there’s a shocking admission that the Geoff has been watching… ‘daytime tv.’ It’s amazing where the little seed was found that grew into the idea for this article. It contains a very simple truth for everyone to use, clear and unequivocal. Into the mix, there’s a look at the email questions and comments sent in, a couple of dodgy impressions and some daftness all in this week’s serious dose of info-tainment. Rememeber – stay in touch – email : newsletter@geoffthompson.com with your comments, questions and feedback.

Date added: 13/06/2008    Running time: 39:38m

Content:
This week’s must read article is called “The stairway to Saturn” and comes on the back of another article. It was talking about success, and what the magic ingredient was that makes it all happen. The one little thing that all successful people have in common, it said, was there wasn’t just one magic thing. Geoff Thompson believes his story and recipe for success is something anyone can use just can’t fail. This is only one of the points that come up in a chat with Richard Barnes in this week’s serious dose of info-tainment. So whether your listening doing the ironing or listening in a mud hut in New Zealand, enjoy! Oh yes, don’t forget to let us know what you think, your questions and stories, there always welcome, email newsletter@geoffthompson.com. Content:
This week’s must read article, ‘The hand of experience’ begs the question what do you need to learn to grow, to change your life for the better, to realise your dreams and aspirations. Do you need to immerse yourself in mighty books and academic text or are there other paths? That’s only part of this week’s podcast though, Mrs Jackson becomes the latest mum to get a name check, there’s a question about angels, a hard dose of honesty and numerous mentions of tea cakes. Title: The world of men
Date added: 01/06/2008    Running time: 35:30m

Content:
This week’s must read article is called ‘The world of men’. Actually the article did have another title, ‘Taking on the world’ both of which give an insight into its content. Geoff gives an honest and stark account of a life changing moment, a moment when a he thought he had killed a man in a fight. The consequences of what followed, a prayer on bended knees for a miracle, another chance to put right what was done and what truth he found are passed on. One lucky listener blags Geoff’s newest book, A Beginners Guide to Darkness, just by paying a compliment along with another large dose of mirth and merriment go into making this week’s essential blast of serious info-tainment.

Title: There is no such thing as a locked script (is nearly mentioned)
Date added: 17/05/2008    Running time: 40:10m

Content:
Completely away from the normal way of doing things Geoff and Richard had a planning meeting to talk about the content of this week’s podcast. A meticulous skeleton brief was agreed as time was short and a podcast hadn’t been done for a few weeks. It needed to be right. The subjects to talk about, the point's in this week’s must read article to contemplate, and other matters to cover were formulated. All was agreed and noted. A script, well sort of, was scribbled down on dog eared A4 pads. More preparation went into this podcast than its predecessors. Honest. Recording followed and as is the way of things, the script went out of the window. This week’s ‘must read’ article was mentioned... in passing. What followed is an hilarious dose of silliness, an introduction to the work of Alan Peasland, one of the country’s most experienced martial artist and real self defence expert plus the spot light wanders and full’s on other subjects. Mix that with a chat about Geoff’s new book, A Beginners Guide to Darkness, a no nonsense straight talking guide, like none that have gone before. Within the podcast there’s help, advice and a challenge for you, all in this mixed up cocktail of serious Info-Tainment.

Can this surreal mix get anymore... surreal. You bet ya! This week’s must read article is ‘The Harvest of Service’ and comes under the spot light as the main topic of conversation in the serious bit. Watch out for dodgy 80’s music references and the chance to sing along in this week’s dose of ‘Serious Info-tainment.’ Now whose mum do we need to mention next week?

Title: All sailors
Date added: 08/04/2008    Running time: 34:02m

Content:
‘All Sailors’ is this week’s ‘must read’ article that comes under the spotlight for analysis and discussion, with Richard Barnes asking Geoff Thompson why he wrote it, what it has tell and what can be learnt. The inspiration for the article comes from headlines in the press seeming to suggest to Geoff that the world is drowning in an ocean of pain. If this is the case is there any hope for any of us? This podcast is a rollercoaster ride from a sublime look at the harsh reality and search for the light of hope amid the darkness that seems to surround, too the usual, unusual mix of daft silliness that can only be heard on a podcast from GeoffThompson.com. Serious info-tainment. Enjoy. Title: Difficult difficult, difficult easy
Date added: 31/03/2008    Running time: 34:50m

Content:
This week’s ‘must read’ article is called Difficult Difficult, Difficult Easy. My spell checker is warning me of repeated words and warning aside it describes something you can look for and do if you want doors to open on your life, and real benefits to appear right in front of you, no matter what it is you strive for. A better job, a better life, to be understood, to understand, to appreciate or be appreciated it’s a simple map that Richard Barnes quizzes Geoff Thompson about in this week’s (late) podcast. Add to that the usual unusual mix of punch lines without jokes, name checks and mentions of anyone we can think of and a serious dose of silliness exacerbated by the early hour of recording, oh the voices sound gruff, and you have a great mix of serious info-tainment to feast your ear holes on. Enjoy!

Title: Metaphysical self defence (MSD).
Date added: 15/03/2008    Running time: 26:36m

Content:
There are two themes’ that run through this week’s podcast. Firstly, Geoff Thompson tells Richard Barnes about “Metaphysical self defence.” It’s the title and subject of the weeks ‘Must Read’ article. So what is it, does it work, how do you use it and what are the benefits to you? It gives an insight into how and why Geoff turned his life around, the life changing moment that nearly cost him all he holds dear and his liberty for years to come. It serious stuff and the information within could give you a road map for realising what you want. The other theme, as usual is not as serious as the not so dynamic duo analyse a deeply disturbing (to them) email from karate legend Iain Abernethy. Bear witness to some extreme silliness, near funny moments and talk of whippets. Either way it’s this week’s dose of serious’ info-tainment’ not to be missed!

Title: God is a house
Date added: 07/03/2008    Running time: 34:39m

Content:
In a recent article and podcast Geoff Thompson said ‘Jesus is a factory labourer’ and now he re-assures us ‘God is a house’. And to illustrate this he sites two ants having a conversation over a grain of sugar. How can God be a house? You would be forgiven for discounting such proclamations as slightly daft and ill thought out. Then you hopefully figure out that these titles are just a metaphor for something that prompts consideration and understanding of the potential in all of us. You’d be right in your figuring. That is just the starting point, then mix in the usual, unusual mix of silliness, threatening people with baseball bats to make them laugh, and carbohydrate loading on tea cakes go to make this week’s podcast superb info-tainment. Go on, turn on, tune in and enjoy the ride in this weeks 30 minute instalment of slightly daft chat and a serious dose of the inspirational food that Geoff Thompson serves up for Richard Barnes.

Richard Branson famously donned the disguise of an old limo driver when picking up 10 job seekers coming for interview at his company.
